PRIVACY STATEMENT

St. Bede’s Episcopal Church (St. Bede’s) places a high priority on protecting your privacy. This privacy policy was created in order to demonstrate St. Bede’s firm commitment to the privacy of our extended community and website users.

WHAT PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION IS COLLECTED
St. Bede’s visitors and individuals that sign up to receive e-communications voluntarily provide us with contact information (such as name and e-mail address). We may use this information for specific, limited purposes. You may always "opt out," either now or at any time in the future, if you do not wish to receive our messages.

HOW YOUR INFORMATION MAY BE USED
We use your personal information to send e-mail alerts to you; to answer your requests; to process your contributions; etc. You may choose to opt out at any time, which will cease all communications from us. We may also use your information to track visitor usage of our website. This lets us see which of our features are the most popular so we can better serve our users' needs. It also lets us provide aggregate data about our traffic (not identifying you personally, but showing how many visitors used which features, for example) to outside parties.

EMAIL PRIVACY
St. Bede’s does not provide, sell, or rent email addresses to anyone outside the organization, without your permission.

EXTERNAL LINKS
St. Bede’s occasionally includes links to external websites. These links do not fall under St. Bede’s domain, and St. Bede’s is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of external websites. Your use of any linked website is solely at your own risk.

CHILDREN’S INFORMATION
Our Sites are intended for users age thirteen and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children through our Sites. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from anyone younger than the age of 13 through the Sites, we will delete that information. Where participation in our programming may result in the collection of information from children, we will provide separate explanation of our practices. We will not collect more information about children than is reasonably necessary to administer our programs.

HOW WE SECURE YOUR INFORMATION
St. Bede’s website has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. We safeguard the security of the data you send us with physical, electronic, and other procedures. However, it is not possible to guarantee the security or integrity of information disclosed online. Because no data transmission over the Internet is completely secure, we urge you to take every precaution to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet, including when you are using St. Bede’s website.

MODIFICATIONS
We may amend this privacy policy from time to time; please review it periodically. We maintain the option to modify this privacy at any time by electronic notice posted on our website. Your continued use of our website after the date that such notices are posted will be deemed to be your agreement to the changed terms.
