After a delightful meal of fish, stew, and pears in wine sauce, Master Chef/Playmaster Newman sets the stage for us and introduces the cast..

Can you spot the real Falstaff?

The actions starts out when Falstaff asks his two cronies Nym and Pistol to deliver some love letters to Mistress Ford and Mistress Page. Mistress Ford and Mistress Page are astounded to discover they both got letters from Falstaff -- word for word the same!

Mr. Ford, the jealous husband, wants to catch his wife red handed. He meets Falstaff while disguised as Mr. Brook. He learns when Falstaff will be meeting Mistress Ford.

Mr. Ford returns home, but is unable to find Falstaff - who has cleverly been hidden in a lampshade. After Falstaff is spirited away, the ladies plot to take advantage of Mr. Ford's jealousy.

Falstaff returns for a second visit. But then he discovers that Mr. Ford is coming back. The lampshade trick won't work this time. So he disguises himself as Mistress Ford's Aunt, and escapes once again.

Finally, the Pages and Fords decide to get even with Falstaff. Mrs. Ford convinces him to meet her in Windsor park, disguised as Herne.

Falstaff hears what he thinks are fairies and must hide from them. Then they descend on him. "I do begin to perceive that I am made an ass," Falstaff says.

Good husband, let us every one go home, and laugh this sport o'er by a country fire; Sir John and all.

Thanks to all those who participated in the play, and a special thanks to Fr. Jim for the delightful meal.
