Will you strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being? This final question of the Baptismal Covenant is perhaps the most challenging. It presumes that the love we have for one another as parts of God's creation will enable us to deal with difficult subjects - even when we disagree with one another.

St. Bede's Faith and Justice Committee serves as a clearinghouse for information on topics of faith and justice that are of interest and concern to our parish. It also strives to facilitate a forum where our parishioners can discuss issues in an open, nonjudgmental, and safe manner. As issues of great importance to our parishioners arise, we foresee hosting informal forums during coffee hours and perhaps more formal events as needed.
